Our website has a new feature entitled “For Our Learning.” It is intended to provide Biblical instruction that you might have a greater understanding of Scripture and especially of God, its author. My hope is that it will stir your minds and produce a greater understanding of God’s word, and especially that He be glorified.

The way it works: As we begin, this section is composed of one question followed by a list of scriptures pertaining to the question. Within them you will find the answer. You will be tasked with reading the Scriptures and then answering the question. The following week we will provide the answer and another question with reference Scriptures for you to read and meditate upon as you endeavor to answer the question

I hope you choose to participate in following the questions and answers as I believe they will be edifying to you, building your knowledge of the Word of God. I sincerely hope you will be blessed. I am reminded of the Apostle Paul’s prayer for his Ephesian brethren for in Ephesians 1:15-17 where we read “Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of Glory: may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:” God is the source of all wisdom and understanding and He will give to those who search. This is not the entirety of the prayer, so I hope you will take time to read all Paul’s powerful prayer of realization. Ephesians 1:15-23

Credit Due: The questions and answers you will be working with are taken from “A Catechism On Biblical Doctrine” written by W.R. Downing who is the Pastor of the Sovereign Grace Baptist Church of Silicon Valley, CA. Pastor Downing has graciously given permission for us to draw from his work. Once again, thank you, Brother Downing.
